21st January

UFO
I'm not sure the last time I found the time to sew - but it sure felt grand to play with fabric again.
I pulled out a U F O (un finished object) -mmmm with grand plans to have this finished for autumn.


SQUEAL Jo Morton has a fabric range called Glasgow which has inspired ideas... oh no too many ideas and not enough hours in my day...

The Fat Quarter Shop is dangerous, especially with how strong our NZ dollar is - buying fabric on line including postage is WAY cheaper. Sadly my local shop doesn't have a Jo Morton range

In the rhythm of the needles,

Dog Tales...
Summer weather is back - it was missed! We are back to a beautiful blue sky and sun - perfect to go walking in.

    1. I love 9 patches - just wish I could find some more spare hours, got no sewing done yesterday and still working in garden at 9.30 pm last night - summer is great!

  2. I like the saying too. Great you have a project to get the blood pumping......nine patches are great. Some of us girls up this way did a nine patch swap a few years ago, we all ended up with 144!!! We have just finished a pinwheel swap, very scrappy & wonderful, need time to put them together into a quilt.
    I wish our neighbours would walk their dogs.

      A scrappy swap would be fun.
      Our dogs get naughty if not walked and they seem to know the time each day for walks

  3. It was a beautiful day today, glad to see the dogs took you out to enjoy it. I went with friends to have dinner down on the waterfront - just lovely.

    Unfortunately Miss Pops eyes are looking sore again tonight, so it might be back to the vet again tomorrow.

    1. LOL Yep we let the dogs take us there and on the way home it is healing. Mack has to stay on the lead as he has selective hearing when he see rabbits and will just keep chasing..
      Hope poppy is looking ok today.
