Herbs..

Seven braids of home grown garlic - might JUST get us through the year. We eat a lot of garlic

So disappointed with this photo it doesn't show how big my bulbs are. Might have to take another photo to show you all.  I have saved the best and biggest bulbs for this years planting, Anyway I am stoaked with the size of the bulbs and how much garlic I got.  A garden success always makes one feel great doesn't it.
I always plant my garlic in May well before the recommended time of the shortest day - and usually harvest around the longest day, before all of the leaves have turned brown.
My stalks look brown as I've left them in the sun to start the drying out stage.

Stella the Poodle...
Stella loves going in the car - she has to wear a seat belt for her safety. This is her third seat belt as she has out grown the other two. James is walking Stella and Mack - Abbey has crashed. It's kinda getting hard to stay positive when we think we have beaten everything for her to hit a rough patch of being sore and extremely tired again.

FarmStay Guests...

Isn't Leo beautiful???? Leo arrived today with his igloo from Kirkaldies and Stains. Both kids have commented on his pink blanket, he arrived with a red blanket in his bag too.  I will swap them over tomorrow.
On arrival, Leo walked out of his carry cage totally relaxed to be here.

Don't you just adore his smile I captured with the camera?

I'm putting up todays post before I go to bed as Leo's family I'm sure will be pleased to go to bed knowing he is well settled.

Molly loves to stand guard and watch everything while Bella gets to eat her mince.

I tried again tonight to get a good photo of Bella - but she doesn't stand still long enough for the camera to snap... I did get her tongue - she loves her mince and I'd taken it off her (meanie) hoping to get a good photo. But that didn't work. I'm so pleased we have double doors as she is ever so fast at zipping past my legs.

View from my kitchen window. It's wonderful not having neighbours - I don't know if I could go back to having them... Minka and I were calling out to each other while I was doing the dishes this morning. Imagine if we had close neighbours they would think I was bonkers...

  1. Miss Stella looks very comfy in her new seatbelt. Sorry to hear that Abbey is having a rough patch - we hope she gets some good healing rest. Please send her our best wishes.

Miss Pops was looking good at the vets today, so maybe she can come home in the next few days. She gave me a chirp and wanted to let me hold her so she could look out the window at the trees.

She is funny and not eating her dinner, as they are trying to give her diet biscuits. Little minx is holding out for some wet food. So after four days of half rations, I suggested they try some wet food tonight and see if she eats better. Might help her pooh situation too.

    1. Thanks, It's pretty hard to see such a big crash SIGH TEARS. She keeps her sprits up and is watching Gilmore Girls with Stella the Poodle.

Hope Poppy Q gets some nicer food in hospital soon.

    1. Leeane lets hope aye - she has had some good days so it's kinda hard when a crash hits.

Yea I LOVE homegrown garlic - and never buy imported garlic due to the sprays they use to bring it into the country.

I had to get granddad Brent to put the seatbelt on the poodle - Stink grandma as the family call me couldn't work out how it goes (Abbey usually does all this) Stella gets soo excited when she get belted up.
