Bush Bath
James and Brent had a day out picking up my Trade Me Purchase - a Bath. We brought the bath unseen - the auction didn't have a photo and it was not until the pick up day did we find out the bath was inside the house sitting on the landing of a two story home. GULP!

One very heavy claw foot cast iron bath.

In great condition. - The overflow at top of the bath has to go as you can't get the bath filled above it. We feel an outdoor bath needs to be filled to the very top of the bath - it doesn't matter if it overflows ontot the ground when you hop in.

AND squeal we had no idea it was soo long - it is just perfect and we scored it for $50.00

Disclaimer - yes we did have togs on

The bath was filled after tea by Brent adapting the hose to fit our hot water tap in the house.. Unfortunately by the time the hot water went from the house, down the garden hose to the bath it was warm. LOL .       But totally perfect for the maiden bush bath. We are looking out for a Pot Belly now to heat the bath.

Having a bush bath is just awesome and I know we will get many years of pleasure from it. It was perfect sitting under the full wort moon energy . Total BLISS! Highly recommend to all.

Cat Tails...

Party celebrations - ten years ago MandaBurms Cattery had the first litter of kittens. From the litter our foundation kittens were born - Caro and Laura.

Party food for all six cats at dinner time - tinned fish. lambs heart and junk food cat nuts and treats, for all six of our retired breeding cats.

_ Well the party pack says wild west so I suppose a dust bath must be in order. The cats  do soo love to roll about in the gravel and dust.

In Caro's breeding career - she had 12 litters and 69 kittens.

The sisters who have made many families happy with one of their kittens.

It is wonderful seeing their kittens now come back to the MandaBurms Farmstay - which with the koha people are kindly giving enables us to keep all of our retired breeding stock and the hanger ons.

Laura watching, waiting, PLANNING to catch herself a goose.

Laura and Caro are now ten years old - they don't act like 10 at all. They  are in excellent health and play just as hard as a kitten does at times.

  1. Your cats are such beauties and enjoying their retirement, and your bush bath looks like great fun. You scored a super deal on the price and it looks in perfect condition.

  2. Terra thank you - we love all our animals here and NOT that you are meant to have favourites, I do Laura is my cat! Caro is Abbey's/ Awesome deal on bath - however me thinks the owners wanted a good home for it. They were lovely people and Brent and James got a full tour of their amazing home. Brent came home telling me about the beautiful old home - wish I could of gone too.

    1. Wendy it has been on my bucket list for AGES! Way better than I had dreamed - being big enough for two. Yes herbs will be a standard addition in the bath. We are on the look out for a fire to go with it - and I have plans for opening up a spiritual circle at our place - with the option of a abth ritual - imagine Love Leanne

    1. Ali - it is only the geese I was worries about (that bloomen Gus the dad was my main concern) But Brent thinks it is too hight for him to get in. I hope so! The other animals stay in the paddocks. The dogs well B A T H is a horrible word to them so I think I'm safe.

    1. I suppose I should be honest, Laura is terrified of Gus the Gander as I am and Laura is hiding from Gus behind my bucket. But she didn't run - she stood her ground LOL.
Laura and I don't like Gus.
