Saturday 12th January.

Family of minimalists.
Our first week of the kids and I selling on Trade Me has been a great success 34 sales totalling $492.00
That is more than 34 items from our home PLUS we have a boot load to drop off to the Sallies.

It really is rather addictive once you get your mind set to it.It's amazing how we look around the house and say - mm I'm ready to let that go. It is a bit of work listing on trade Me - but what items can be posted we try and sell on Trade me before we take to the Sallies. I struggle with some of the CHEEKY people on Trade Me (like E bay) who want to offer you nothing....
I often feel like replying like Mrs Brown.....  but I haven't had elocution lessons so I say nothing.

If you have never watched Mrs Brown, we highly recommend it. The show is soo funny!
NB kids it is a R16....

Items that you list are still treasures - there is often a lot of emotion and memories in the items. I think that is why people find it really hard to let go of things. I know I find it hard to let go some of my books, the memories are wrapped up in our years of homeschooling. But it is nice to know other kids are going to get the joy too. As my kids are syaing to me as I ask shall we keep this book? They say no - educate another child (this has been especially for my books of women who have made a difference in the world - Rosa Parks, etc.. )

James bought some paint to paint the deck of his ute. He spent days sanding it back to bare metal with the sanding discs on the disc grinder.

James also bought a car stereo for his ute and is now wiring it in.

The trusty coat hanger (Kotunga) used for the aerial until he sells some more treasures.

I'm buying Bonus Bonds with my funds.

Abbey is saving like crazy for books.

Stella the poodle...

Training for Stella is coming along really well. As you can see Stella loves the attention and is doing great.

To begin jumping through the hoop you start off in a door way (otherwise Stella went around the hoop. poodles are clever dogs!) The doorway stops her being able to go around the hoop instead of jumping through the hoop.

Treat training is a huge motivation and Stella looks forward to her special treats as well as the fuss re praise and attention.

Abbey might have to work on lady like jumping  - LOL Stella thumps as she jumps and lands back on the ground - any ballet teachers watching will Tut Tut ... LOL

FarmStay Guests...
Minka was NOT in the mood for a photo - she knew her mince was there and she  wanted her mince now.

Mince on the shelf - with  toys.
Minka and I have a game I pick up all her toys every morning and night and then she hides them for me to find again.

Leo is a fantastic man cat. The photo might look as if he is not happy but infact Leo is prodding the air and smiling while getting a good rub and scratch.

I tried to capture Leo in total bliss - relaxing on his back prodding in the air purring at full steam ahead with fur flying from Brent's rough grooming hands.

Brent giving Bella a rattle up - (Bella prefers Brent over me) What a show Bella puts on for him - pretty much up there with what Rosa does for Brent when she stays..

Don't yea just love Brent's foot wear.... Stella has a big interest in shoes and likes to take them from the back door. Thankfully she doesnt chew (Destroy) shoes like our Dobermanns and Mastiffs did.

    1. Welcome home Poppy Q!
Stella is very clever and knows it! She also knows she is NOT meant to take the shoes that are at the back door.

    1. Wendy yes poodles are so clever! AND Stella thrives on the attention. Abbey brought a book from recommendation from our vet that is teaching Abbey how to teach Stella. Abbey has talked to the school I am working at and Stella might be used as a therapy dog down track with kiddies struggling to read as a reward. Studies have been done how kiddies who struggle and read to the dog is quite motivating AND also with Stella's tricks... she might just be a treat. Any way wee way to go before she can do that.
