New Zealand.

I am very proud to be a New Zealander.
I am proud that New Zealand is nuclear free
and I was proud to board the Rainbow Warrior yesterday

As a New Zealander I am against the National party wanting to sell off our assets

There is a  rally to unite opposition to the Government's plan to sell state- owned assets, TODAY at Frank Kitts Park 6pm

At times I often feel what difference can I make? But it is people like you and I who can make a difference by being present and taking a stand. I'm very passionate about many things I believe in - often going against the norm. I want a nuclear free world, a GE Free world, and I do not agree with deep sea oil drilling - especially off the coast of Wellington  SOB!

Nathan Argent, Chief Policy Advisor, Greenpeace NZ spoke a few words while I was on board the Rainbow Warrior -a  fantastic speaker and he shared an amazing vision for New Zealand.

The carved dolphin named Dave.

New Zealanders donations funded the wet room, where activists board the inflatables.
A plaque in the wet room acknowledges the contributions.

OOOh I spy the stickers I've had over the years, on the wall

I Totally enjoyed the opportunity to go aboard the Rainbow Warrior

  1. What a great opportunity, and yes, Nuclear free, No whaling, no GE or GM food or animals. and for each of us who do something in this way, no matter how small we feel it is, it all adds up to a larger amount, that does make a difference.Greetings from Jean, p.s. super pic of you on board,

  2. Oh, my dear friend ... I've been away for so long and this is the post I get to read .... I have goosebumps. I am so in love with Greenpeace and agree with everything that you said ... it's is so nice to see that we are not alone and there are more of us that we think ... the media gives a distorted view ... for instance you must think we Americans are all nuts .... but I assure you there are many of us who feel the way you do .... and for me, world peace is always in my prayers .... I do believe in energy work and try to give out all the positive energy I can muster. Stay true, dear one, stay true.

    1. The boat had a steady flow of traffic - and that was in the middle of the day - I should think that Greenpeace would be pleased with the numbers that came out to show their support.
I do think people are standing up and voicing their concerns.

  5. I'm a fanatic of the show "Whale Wars." It really woke me up to the horror of what countries can do to the demise of the whales. I would have loved to have visited the ship! I'm glad you posted photos, Leanne, so that I can feel like I was there too.

    1. ooooh I wonder if I saw him, there were lots of young folk (good looking boys too as I told my dd) and I did think to myself how much fun they must be having. There were some older ladies too and I did think mmmmm I wonder if I might do something like this when I grow up.
