The truck is going!

Brent has been on three weeks annual leave, three weeks to work on his pick up truck.

He wanted to get it to a stage so he could take us all for a spin (brakes aren't needed he told me)

Thirty two years ago he broke this pick up truck showing off doing wheelies down the drive way to my flat to impress me as young lads do. It was decided that more horsepower was needed and the engine was pulled out and a bigger one fitted. Life seemed to gather momentum and since then it has been parked up, it even followed to some flats, looking back now I can't believe I got conned into looking for a flat with a car shed to house the truck???
Many cars and motorbikes have come and gone over the years but this truck has always been kept with us.

Huge smiles were on all of our faces!

Big buzz all round -It getting that much closer to being back on the road.

  4. What a great old truck. It should be fun to drive around in it when it's all put back together and road safe. :) I'm visiting from Mosaic Monday. Pamela at playingwithmycamera

  8. That truck sounds great and looks really cool too. My husband would like that. Glad you kept it all these years. Well worth all of the memories it brings back, and the joy of having it rebuilt and running again.

    1. Yes it will be wonderful to be back on the road again - it is not going to be a show pony more a working truck. The goal is to get it on the road asap (as time allows) and use it. Our friend got his going and then died before he got to use it. WAY sad.

    1. He is and said it's one of his best holidays ever. I was so good and didn't give him a hunny dear list while he was on annual leave. Just let him work in the barn. He did take me out on two day trips which I appreciated. And he made the bed every day of his holiday treat for me.
