Happy anniversary to Tex the ram

Tex arrived here 3 years ago - Just a little bloke when he first got here on 13th March 2010.

He got the job done - These twin lambs were born in September the same year.

Look at him now, Tex has grown into a real man ram. Even the shearer is a bit wary of him these days.

He is very tame, but one should still never ever trust a ram. Brent turned his back on Tex just for a moment the other day and that was all it took. Wallop - Tex knocked him over hard & Brent bit the dust. He got straight back up and gave Tex a good telling off and chased him away just in case Tex was thinking about having another go. Brent's leg was all grazed and there are a few black and blue patches in other places.

I didn't find out until a couple of days later when I enquired "how did you get all those grazes on your leg" -"Oh I arsed over in the paddock the other day" - "You never fall over" (Pause) "did that jolly ram get you" - "Weeell I cant lie to you can I"

Barn...
Brent did some more body repairs on the cab of the truck today and James helped in the afternoon - He made some mounting brackets for the front bumper. Here they are having a break at the end of their day - wait a minute, is that 3 of them sitting in the truck?

 Stella likes pick-up trucks too.

It's Ella's last night here - and after her nail manicure I think she is ready to go home. Ella grizzled and grizzled "I told you I didn't want my nails clipped but then you went and did it anyway"

Prince just crowed - 6.15am.

  2. Awwww cute photo of the boys and Stella in the truck!! Miss Ella will be pleased to head home and sleep in her own bed. I could imagine Pops would hate having her claws cut too.

  3. How sweet Tex looked when he was younger. Now look at him. Neat to see the barn and all of the goodies in there. The truck is looking great.

  4. Tex has such a serious face! Perhaps he feels he doesn't get enough respect from certain people and has to remind them with a good shove. Ella is so beautiful. I always try to put off clipping my girl's nails but I know it has to be done.

  8. Robin's brother, who is a farmer, got knocked over by one of his bulls recently. It gave him a real scare. When Robin text him to see how he was (family grapevine had worked quickly), he text back and said, "All good. Bull dead." It made us laugh.
